About the device
Does the sealer work on chip bags?
Yes. Chip bags, coffee bags, freezer bags and cereal bags are exactly what this device is meant for. Cut the bag straight, lay the edge against the sealing strip and press once.
Which bags does it not work on?
Worth being realistic here, because this is where most sealers disappoint. Thick aluminium, rigid mylar and zipper style resealable bags will not close reliably. Use a high setting on very thin film and you will burn straight through it, so always start low and work upwards.
How long will my food stay fresh?
That depends on the product, the bag and where you keep it, so we do not quote a number of days. What a sealed seam does do: it closes the bag airtight, so no more air and moisture can get in. A sealed bag keeps better than a bag you fold over or close with a clip.
Why six heat levels?
Because bags are not all the same thickness. Levels 1 and 2 are for thin film, 3 and 4 for normal bags, 5 and 6 for thicker bags. The display shows which level you are on.
Do I need to preheat it?
No. Pressing down is sealing.
Does the device get hot? Is that safe?
There is a heating element inside, so yes, the sealing strip gets warm. An insulated strip spreads the heat so you do not burn your fingers in normal use. Keep the device out of reach of children, do not leave it switched on unattended, and let it cool down before you put it away.
How do I charge it?
With the supplied USB-C cable. One press of the button shows how much charge is left. There are no disposable batteries to buy.
Can I stick it on the fridge?
Yes, the base is magnetic. That is deliberate: a sealer that lives in a drawer is a sealer you never use.
